NAIPEC files amicus brief in Patent Trial and Appeal Board case vs. St. Regis / Allergen
The Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council (NAIPEC) was one of many Tribal and other groups who filed an amicus brief in support of dismissing the review of the Restasis patents, owned by the St. Regis Tribe after they acquired them from Allergen PLC.
Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council (NAIPEC) Announces New IP Initiative With NDN IP PARTNERS
The Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council (NAIPEC) has announced a new initiative, aimed at providing Native American Tribes strategic support in the acquisition, monetization and management of Intellectual Property portfolios. NDN IP PARTNERS, LLC (NDN) will assist tribes in acquiring patents and other intellectual properties, and support Tribes in leveraging patent ownership, utilizing tribal sovereignty, and by providing broad IP strategic management support.

Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council (NAIPEC) Founder Honored in Series of USPTO Trading Cards

The Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council, LLC, has announced that its founder and Chairman, T. David Petite was recognized by the United States Patent office (USPTO) as an influential inventor. Petite was bestowed the honor of being included in the USPTO’s 2014 Inventor Collectible Trading Card Series.

On Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. NAIPEC founder and CEO T. David Petite visited Lucile S. Bruner Elementary School in North Las Vegas to present the first NAIPEC Young Innovators Award to the student or students who created the most unique idea for new inventions.

As Plato said, “Necessity is the mother of all invention”. The need for innovation has never been more vital than it is today.
Native Americans have always been resilient people with a rich legacy of finding new ways to improve their environment and efficiently make simple things better.
Providing a forum in which innovators can learn and share their ideas is critical to the development of intellectual property assets. To support this critical need, NAIPEC has set itself an ambitious goal, the 12 X 12 Tribal Intellectual Property Program Initiative.
“With the help of our generous supporters we will establish these 12 TIP Programs in tribal communities before the end of 2012”, said T. David Petite, President of NAIPEC. “The TIP Program will help hundreds of Native Americans and tribal communities bring their unique inventions to market and sustain a tradition of pure creativity that our world needs so deeply.”

Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative Features NAIPEC Founder

The founder of Native American Intellectual Property Enterprise Council T David Petite is interviewed by the Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative (ELI) for the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program. The purpose of the interview was to extract practical knowledge of real world events that lead to the success for Mr. Petite and position that knowledge in electronic format so it can be shared by others by various media streams that can help empower entrepreneur programs.
The Ice House Entrepreneurship program is an interactive online education program designed to inspire and engage the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. The program is funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City. More information is available here>>.
